		<description>Emilie - I feel like I am in the same boat as you.  My husband passed away a few years ago and I have not really dated anyone seriously since then.  I feel like I am lost in being a mother.  Getting up the confidence to try and meet people again is hard.  I'm really good with the computer - I go to school and work online, so that is not an issue, but just finding ways to meet is.

I think the chat room idea is great.  You do not even have to be an outgoing person.  the people you talk to are strangers.  If you do not end up meeting someone in a chat room it may at least help you to get over being shy about talking to others.  If I were you I would give it a try.
